Amber also known as the “Nectar of the Gods” or “Ambrosia” and contrary to popular belief, is actually a composite of other resinoids and oleoresins, such as myrrh, frankincense, styrax, labdanum and benzoin. Often honey and/or vanilla and other spices are added and put into a beeswax base.
Amber has it’s origins in the Middle East, however many areas have their own “version” of amber, using differing recipes that have been handed down through generations.
It is used often for meditation, purification, and luck. As a healing incense it balances the emotions, clears the mind and stimulates the body to heal itself.
Amber is also well known as an aphrodisiac, so is powerful in love workings. Being a natural purifier, it has the ability to draw pain and disease from the body, mind and spirit.
